Drawing has always been my dream!

My early studies included basic art instruction while I practiced drawing various images. I enhanced my art skills with new and exciting techniques gleaned from instruction at a junior college. Later, I enrolled in a VOTECH school where my instructor, George E. Morris, taught me to recognize the fact that each new project is always better than the one before and that self teaching provides a constant learning process with new techniques always unfolding. As my skills expanded, I began transitioning my art into my everyday life by presenting my drawings to the viewing public at various art shows throughout the region.

I am a pencil artist. My drawings capture realism from still life or photographs. My medium includes graphite and charcoal. I use hard lead to draw the basic lines and shapes of my image, soft lead to emphasize tone and depth, stumps to blend the graphite, and charcoal for a difference in texture.

I am a member of the Greater Kansas City Art Association in Kansas City, MO, Northland Exposure Art Gallery in Parkville, MO, the Plattsburg Artists' Coalition in Plattsburg, MO, and Summit Art in Lee's Summit, MO.

Most of my limited edition prints are reproduced from my originals by offset lithography and the rest are reproduced by the giclee process. All my prints are limited edition. There will be no second editions. Once an original and all the prints of that original have sold, that image is retired.

Individually numbered prints of my drawings are available. Several of my originals are also available.

Check my schedule on this website for information about my upcoming shows!
